@41766: Good sir, this is the internet-bitching about bitching will only add to the bitching (there's more of us affection-starved emo fuckers than you think).
Besides, clearly Hanako's suicide should be the FIRST in the series, causing Yamaku to spiral out of control. (Lilly, Shizune, and Misha might survive. See no evil, hear no evil...never mind.)
@41769: Shizune's bad end would actually be the start of it. As a result, Shizune and Misha commit suicide; Hisao follows. This causes Hanako (who has fallen in love with Hisao) to kill herself.
Rin dies of a drug overdose because Hisao wasn't there to save her from her self-destructive tendencies and Emi pushes herself too hard and fast and breaks down as well.
Lilly then moves back to Scotland and freezes to death.
@41771: No, no, no. Funny, but no. Shizune's more likely to commit murder than suicide. Hanako is too self-involved to kill herself over someone else. Ditto Hisao, though I could see him joining Rin in a manly picnic of doom. And Lilly won't freeze to death in Scotland-she'll have Scotch to keep her warm!
It really all starts at the manly picnic-Shizune (and Misha) are yelling at Lilly (and Hanako) for something again, and Hisao falls on Shizune and Lilly, killing them both. Emi rushes over to the commotion, but Misha pounds on Hisao's chest in anguished rage, stopping his heart before Emi can pull her off him. Misha soon commits suicide in sadness over Shicchan's death and horror at her accidental killing of Hisao. The ever increasing trauma finally pushes Hanako over the edge. With Hisao's face replacing her father's in her nightmares, Emi follows soon after, leaving Rin to OD without anyone there to give her a helping hand.
We can call it Katawa no Naku Koro ni-When the Cripples Cry.
@41772: I don't know; Shizune was looking pretty depressed at the fact that her best friend and her lover slept with each other in her bad end.
Misha, being canonically established as suicidal over her inability to have mad sex with Shizune might commit suicide first, which would push Shizune even closer to the edge. I don't think it's impossible for her to commit suicide at this point. The combination of these would either drive Hisao to suicide (since he *does* love Shizune) or cause him to have a heart attack and die anyway.
As for Lilly, I was running out of ideas by then, so I just threw in the "freezing to death" as an afterthought on how to kill her off to complete the set.
@41786: Was Misha established as suicidal? I honestly don't remember that (too busy laughing till I cried at the Bush/Cheney tee). @41772: wasn't serious criticism-I like mine better, but it's still wacko. (and while scotch might postpone frostbite for a short time it definitely WOULD hasten hypothermia, so Lilly still becomes the world's tastiest popsicle.)
@41786: I don't think Shizune ever actually found out.
And Misha's depression going THAT far was only hinted at; nothing really confirmed. She scoffed at Hisao for bringing it up, so I figure that could be interpreted either way.
@41791: @41797: Misha's suicidal nature was revealed in the scene *after* you bedded her (or not), on the roof of the school, or at the very least, *heavily* alluded to.
@41812: You've kindled the flames of something darkly beautiful (lightly seared Hanako breast+thigh FTW). As the OP of @41772: I take my share of the blame for derailing a truly great bittersweet moment into a delicious Higurashi parody.

His name's in the wrong order on the gravestone for it to be in Japan (nevermind the fact that it's in Latin characters instead of Kanji), after all.
