And don't forget "Dances With Cripples", the epic story of a man left abandoned on the wild frontier who must adjust to the ways of a strange native tribe of disabled girls, along with his wacky, scarf-wearing talking horse sidekick.
You know, I can kind of see this as maybe one of those depressing, moralistic Henry Fonda westerns. Like Hanako is hunted down by a bloodthirsty lynch mob who want to hang her for a murder without any proof that she did it. Hisao is the only decent, reasonable one, who stands up for her and believes her story, and tries to stall until the sheriff arrives, but then, because of his kindness to her, Hanako confesses to him that she really did shoot that dodgy ranch hand, but in revenge because he and his gang robbed and burnt down her homestead years ago and killed her family. She hangs anyway in the end, but is at peace because someone understood her, and is hopeful about seeing her family again.
Look out! It's Kid Rin, the slowest gun in the west! ... It's going to take her a while to draw her gun and aim it. You might want to go get a whiskey while you wait.
