@36978: Yer a wee fykie bairne. I lived in a country where the summers were 40 degrees Celsius for over a decade before moving to Scotland. It's nae that cold here.
Man, Scots sure do complain about the cold a lot. Let's see, average January low in Edinburgh: 1º C. Average January low in the canonical area Yamaku is in: -2º C. Average January low in Hokkaido: -7º C.
Conclusion: The Scots are a bunch of whiners, and clearly Lilly gets her love of the cold from the Japanese half of her ancestry.
