Notice the similar texture of the vase and her scars, and the contrast with the flowers which suggest her name (hana = flower). The composition is minimalist but I really like it.

^ I like to think that she wears half a mask on the right side of her face and spends her nights with a police scanner, hunting down criminals, ESPECIALLY arsonists. She gives no mercy, no chance of escape. More than one criminal shit his pants when Hanako whips off the mask and dramatically reveals the extensive scarring that has plagued her for so many years...
