I had to look at this picture twice before I noticed the "bizarro" tag and realized that they had no disabilities. I've always been curious too see what these girls would look like this way. Thanks ;).

If you really think about it...their disabilities have had a profound effect on their personalities and experiences. The reason why Hanako is so shy and reclusive was because people are going to react very negatively to her scars. The reason why Emi is a track star is because she wants to show the world that, yes, she lost her legs, but that doesn't mean she has lost her spirit.
Hell, even Kenji would probably be a different person. As he is now, all he sees are blurs of color and vague shapes. Those shapes could be anything, even demons, according to one fanfiction on here. Though, the paranoia and general insanity may have always been there...
I'd type my theories on how the other 3 girls' disabilities have shaped their lives, but I really don't want to take up a a huge block in the commenting section and piss everyone off.
It's not hard to realize. Shizune is as controlling as she can be, because she has no voice of her own. Lilly is genial because she's always had to depend on other people's kindness to one extent or another. Although, Rin I can see being Rin regardless of arms.
I doubt that the girls temperaments would be too different even if they did not have their disabilities. For example, its unlikely that Shizune would be timid and quiet or Lilly would be a hot head.
Hanako: A refreshingly amiable yet headstrong girl. A bit above average with her grades.
Emi: A "normal" girl, a hang-out-on-weekends friend. Somewhat of a slacker.
Lilly: Valedictorian. Puts a lot of effort into her work, but doesn't tend to let it show. Enjoys little things.
Shizune: Dedicated student council president. Hmm. She hasn't changed much.
@12276: Probably, yeah, and she'd be even more of a hippy than she is now. Art club, nature club, walking around campus barefoot talking about the joys of free love.
I just can't help but feel that there's something... well, WRONG about fantasizing about non-disabled girls. I dunno, this picture just makes me feel like a bit of a deviant.
